About Apocalipstick

Like a stiletto to the head, Apocalipstick knocks you out with their face-melting powerpop! The band thrives in its delicious contradictions and hedonistic fun with catchy songs about make up sex (Let’s Fight), how to not be in a relationship (Don’t Be My Boyfriend But You Can Be My Bitch) and being good bad girls, (Everybody Loves a Bad Boy). If The Runaways and The Go Go’s got in a knock-down, drag-out pillow fight, Apocalipstick would be the party soundtrack! Of course the Apocalipstick girls like gettin’ busy! They have gone on a paid west coast tour, opened for Alien Ant Farm, and played House of Blues in Anaheim and San Diego. For more information, visit http://www.facebook.com/ApocalipstickBand.

About Joyce Lee & The Killing Shoes

Being raised strictly on classical music, Joyce Lee never realized what she was missing from her life until the day her best friend played a punk rock album for her. As soon as that music hit her ears, a light bulb went off in her soul and she knew what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. After moving to LA, Joyce met up with drummer, Wrecks and guitarist Brian Christopher who came from the same punk rock background and through their common bond, the three formed a shared vision in “Joyce Lee and the Killing Shoes” - a gritty, sexy and quirky modern rock n’ roll band infused with the vintage 70’s influences they love. Combining Wreck’s sharp, hard-hitting chops, Brian Christopher’s melodic guitar grooves and Joyce’s powerhouse vocals, this band has a sound that makes no apologies for what it is and will knock you off your feet. For more information, visit http://www.facebook.com/thekillingshoes.

About the Tune in Tokyo DJs:

GREG HIGNIGHT
Greg Hignight co-founded Tune in Tokyo with Del Martin to create a showcase for Japanese and global pop, and provide LA’s first nightclub destination for Asian fashion and pop culture. Under his direction, Tune in Tokyo’s events have encompassed club parties, live shows, convention appearances, and retail and art openings. In addition to serving as part of the DJ unit, Greg is also the creative director, developing event concepts, designing marketing materials and booking talent for live performances. Working together with the Tune in Tokyo team, he is thrilled to be presenting the best in Asian dance pop & indie rock, and Japanese street fashion to Los Angeles. More information at www.greghignight.com.

DJ DEL
DJ Del was born in a dark room filled with bright lights and bass beats. A long time fixture in LA’s underground club scene, his c.v. includes residencies at seminal LA indie clubs Café Bleu and Club Trash. He was also chosen by Club Giant to be the opening DJ for The Killers at their very first New Years Eve party in downtown LA. He was a founding member of International Pop Conspiracy – the precurser to Tune in Tokyo and credits his fellow Tune in Tokyo DJs for exposing him to the best in international pop from Asia and around the world. When not tearing up the decks or manning the front of house at Tune in Tokyo events, DJ Del can be found rocking a pair of very flashy shoes, and a smoky eye on dance floors from Paris to Shanghai.

DJ TORA
“Music is my boyfriend. He makes me smile, laugh, and cry. He moves me on the inside and out. I try not to be a selfish girl and share him with the rest of the world which is why I DJ. Since the days of International Pop Conspiracy, I started sharing his diverse beauty I love so much with all of you. Music has been with me from the day I was born until the day I die. Some of my friends might call me obsessive. My heart tells me otherwise.”

She relocated to Los Angeles in 2007, and while pursuing her own independent writing projects, Ally is focusing on acting as well, performing in Robert DeNiro’s “The Good Shepherd” and more recently on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” DJ Ally has anime to thank for first introducing her to Japanese music and eventually the wider world of global pop.
